SNOW!!!

Well, here it is almost March, and we have a ton of snow piled up around us. The past couple weeks, Justin has been climbing this pile on our street on the way home from the bus stop everyday. It had been shrinking, but after the plowing today, it grew!
By the way, I should mention that Justin's birthday is one week from today! Only one more week of being an eight-year old. Where does the time go?

Cole, another girl

This is Cole. She's a little black cat (only 7 pounds) and is almost 11 years old. We refer to her as Justin's cat. It seems that she loves him - she sleeps on his bed with him, rubs on him while he's trying to read on his bed, and spends most of her time in his room during the day when he's not home. I think this is partly because our other two cats (the sisters) don't get along with Cole and they spend most of their time in mine and Jason's room. So Cole had to find a different human and bed. Kyle is out of the question for her since the cats have to stay out of his room due to his allergies.
Cole is really cute, but not very photogenic due to her color. I took this picture this afternoon cause I thought it was funny. Every morning the boys bring their "guys" down to the family room. They usually stay on the couch the rest of the day. I don't like clutter, but figure that someday they won't do this anymore and then I'll wish that they did. Justin's is the very used, was pastel colored puppy, which is named Old Guy (Middle Guy and New Guy were left upstairs today). The rest are Kyle's. Anchor, the hammerhead shark, is the most important to Kyle. For some reason Kyle's ceramic snail bank was also sitting there today. It looked as though Cole was trying to hang out with them.

Fun furniture!

Okay, so our part of our new sectional folds out to become a "bed". It's not the type of mattress I prefer to sleep on, but even though it's only about six inches thick, it's not uncomfortable. Anyway, Justin and Kyle think it's the most awesome thing. I'm sure I would've too when I was a kid. They are highly imaginative boys and have made the sofa bed into a Lego playland of some sort, depending on what Lego set they're playing with at the time. (I cannot even begin to estimate how many Lego pieces we have in our house!) In this picture, I believe the sofa bed is a skeleton tower because they are playing with the Lego Castle sets.

Phoebe, the bunny

A lot of people didn't realize that I have a rabbit, a very large rabbit. This is Phoebe. She's a gray and white lop eared rabbit. We've had her for over 3 years. The only reason I let myself be in this picture is to show just how big she is. Henry really likes her. He's such a fierce dog (ha, ha).

Happy Valentines's Day!

A pretty picture of the flowers I received from Jason and the cards Justin and Kyle made for us at school.

Before and After

This is our family room. For the last 12 years, we had this forest green couch, chair and ottoman. It was really comfortable. However, when we moved to this house five years ago, we knew we needed more furniture in our family room since it was a lot larger than in our townhouse. It took awhile, but we got the sectional that we wanted. This color was being discontinued, so we got it for a great price. Not sure why they were discontinuing it, I love it.

The sisters

Okay, so there are a couple more girls in my house besides me. There are my three girl cats, rabbit, and a betta (fish). This is a picture of Emma and Yoda. They're sisters. I found them and the rest of their litter (three other kittens) in my parents' backyard when they were only about 3 weeks old. That was almost 12 years ago! They spend most of their time cuddling with each other on mine and Jason's bed. They groom each other a lot, too.

My mom owns their mom Rosie, who is almost 13. And Jason's parents own one of the other sisters.

MY BROTHER IS ENGAGED!!!!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!! It was announced today at my grandma's birthday party(she'll be 85 on Friday!) that Tony and Natalie are getting married. Natalie has been Tony's girlfriend for several years now and we love her! She's already a part of our family, but soon she'll be my sister-in-law, and Justin and Kyle can call her Aunt Nat. She just got her ring yesterday and they're planning a small courthouse wedding that will probably take place in May 2008.

Congratulations and best wishes Tony and Natalie!!!

Kyle can roll his tongue

Jason had to download a new internet thingy in order for me to display pictures on my posts. I'm so happy that it works! Now I have some catching up to do!

Kyle is the only one in our house that can roll his tongue. He doesn't understand why the rest of us can't do it.

My latest painting project

I finally got around to painting our living and dining rooms. It's been about 7 months since I painted a room in our house. (I guess that's about average for me. I like to paint!) That's Henry, my collie, on the couch - his favorite spot. And never mind that rawhide on the floor.

Bear with me

Don't give up on me! I haven't abandoned my blog! I'm having some trouble uploading my images. It says they're uploaded and to click "done", but I can't click on done!
I'm going to try to find some help. I want my blog to work.

I can't believe I've started my own BLOG!!!

I know a few people that have their own blogs and I love checking them! When I look at them I think of things that I would put on mine if I had one. I love to share stories about my kids and pets, so I decided to go for it! I hope people enjoy it and I'll try to update it often.
