Gifts from my sons

Kyle remembered about a half hour after he got up that today is Mother's Day. Justin was up earlier but was distracted by the Indiana Jones movie that was on TV, so he forgot. They both made gifts for me at school and kept them hidden for 2 days. That's impressive! Justin painted the picture frame and made the colorful flower. Kyle made the standing flowers with his picture on it and two cards. I took a close-up of the poem next to his hand print. It made me cry.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms I know! I have nothing special planned for today. Jason is at work and I'll be doing my normal cleaning, etc. If it wasn't pouring rain, I'd go out and cut the grass. I think it's more of a special day for my sons. Justin and Kyle have both made presents for me at school which I haven't received yet. I know they're looking forward to giving them to me. And that's what will make this day special for me. I'm also proud to be included in Mother's Day because my sons are pretty wonderful. We've come a long way being that they're nine and six years old now. Like all children, they have their 'moments', but more often they are thoughtful, kind, and respectful little men. Not to mention handsome and talented! I've learned a lot from them over the years and have become a better person because of them. Thanks guys!

So enjoy this day, moms! Hope it's a happy one for all of you!

What a sweetie!

Kyle was secretly writing something on his Magna Doodle yesterday. He wanted to surprise me with this. What a thoughtful little boy!

Aaaaahh, spring!

This is a picture of the tree that's in our front yard. It's very pretty at this time of the year and smells wonderful!

They did it!

YAY! Tony and Natalie are now husband and wife! Fortunately the rain stopped before we all arrived at the courthouse yesterday and then the weather was pretty nice. Here's a picture of the newlyweds and one of my handsome sons.

The wedding is today!!!

This may just be another rainy day for some people, but for our family it's a wedding day. Tony, my brother, and Natalie are getting married this afternoon! I couldn't be happier! They'll be getting married at the old courthouse in Geneva. Afterwards, they're taking us to a fancy dinner at the hotel they're staying in tonight. Natalie's family lives in the Springfield area. Her parents, grandparents, sister and fiance came up last night.
I'll be taking a lot of pictures today. I'll do some posting tomorrow if Tony and Nat don't mind. Justin and Kyle are going to be stylin' in their shirts and ties (Kyle has a vest, too). I can't wait for everyone to see them! I better start getting ready!

Congrats to Tony and Nat! I wish you happiness always! I love you guys!
